Hi. I'm Mighil, the person behind mgx.me.
The blog name has its own little story. You know, mgx was actually a random moniker I had to choose. I wanted MG, but I couldn't set it on bearblog.dev even though no one else was using it. After chatting with Herman, the creator of Bear Blog, I learned that MG was reserved for Mailgun services on the platform. It's a shame.
Anyway, let me introduce myself a bit.
I'm from India, but based in China since 2015. I've been writing technical content for several years. My background spans from web development to product marketing. I'm a big fan of video game music, which inspired me to start making music as a hobbyist. When it comes to films, I like horror, mystery, crime, and comedy. I also love kaijus. You know, Gojira, Rodan, Anguirus, and so on. I even have a tattoo representing Gojira.
Now that the introduction is done, let's get to today's topic.
Many of my non-technical blog posts begin as voice notes. I record something, review it later, and consider whether I should develop a post and publish it.
So I'm thinking, why not post some of those audio recordings as well?
Since I already know how to use FL Studio from making music, and I'm familiar with mixing and mastering, why not use those skills?
So I've decided to take -my- some of my voice recordings, polish them up a bit, and make them more listener-friendly.
I'm not trying to become a content creator or anything like that. It's just another format for me to publish my thoughts, or what I've been doing, or something I would like to share with the world.
But - I'm not a native speaker (English) -- though I believe people would still understand me, right?
I would use voicenotes.com to transcribe everything, so that if listeners have trouble understanding me, they can read along too.
At the end of some voice notes, I would share works in progress of songs I'm creating.
So that's it.
You are essentially listening to the trial run of this idea.
And today, I'm sharing something called "yummy soaps".
It's a glitch track where I have sampled bits from a YouTube video showing a 1950s experiment in which a housewife was given LSD. Yep.
So here's the track.
